Experience Dave Rana joined AvAirPros Services, Inc. in 2006 as a Duty Operations Manager for the Midway Airlines’ Terminal Consortium (MATCO) and in 2008 was promoted to Inline Explosive Detection Systems Manager. Mr. Rana works closely with all airlines and various vendors to ensure the operation is managed efficiently with minimal downtimes. In addition to the EDS system, Mr. Rana assists in the oversight of the Federal Inspection Facility and the maintenance and operation of various airline equipment systems including Passenger Loading Bridges, Pre-Conditioned Air and ground power systems, the airport’s Flight Information Display System, potable water cabinets, a centralized triturator system, and battery charging systems.
Prior to joining the AvAirPros, Mr. Rana worked for twenty years in the hospitality industry where he installed, repaired and maintained hundreds of different types of machinery. After successfully servicing thousands of accounts he moved into operations management. Mr. Rana has trained, dispatched, and supervised various groups of employees, both small and large. He managed accounts with annual sales, parts budgets and fleet inventories in the tens-of-millions of dollars.
Mr. Rana also worked in the commercial beverage field, were he was part of a team of professionals who aided in the development and implementation of automated beverage systems for the McDonald’s corporation.
Mr. Rana serves as the Operations Coordinator for the Oak Forest Emergency Management Agency where he maintains emergency equipment and trains volunteers to use it, provides emergency support to the city’s fire and police departments, provides security and direction at community events, and serves as a Public relations liaison with the media.
His unique experience provides him mechanical and diagnostic abilities in many trades, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical and fixtures, as well as superior customer relations, conflict resolution and troubleshooting skills.
