Herbert Sterbenz

Experience

Mr. Sterbenz joined the staff of AvAirPros Services in 2000, and has over fifteen years of facilities maintenance, mechanics and management experience, which includes a profound knowledge of airline terminal maintenance operations.

As Manager Facilities for Terminal One Management at JFK International Airport, Mr. Sterbenz is currently responsible for all building contract services, environmental issues, building systems, and training activities related to facilities management. Mr. Sterbenz administers basic policies and programs to ensure a safe, efficient environment for passengers and employees to avoid accidents or injuries. Mr. Sterbenz is responsible for monitoring and controlling the costs of facility installations and project construction. Additionally, he is responsible for on-site planning, scheduling, and progress reporting of all construction projects; and coordination with the Port Authority and all Federal Agencies. Mr. Sterbenz also assists in implementing the capital improvement projects at Terminal One, and controls allocations of inventory, such as supplies, spare parts, and building and janitorial equipment.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sterbenz was the Building Superintendent in charge of the Port Authority Contracts for various service companies for the maintenance and operations of 986,000 square feet of building space.
