Mr. Burchett’s aviation experience is in airport financial analyses, rates and charges analyses, use and lease negotiation, and in providing technical and operational expertise in the evaluation and implementation of management options.Mr. Burchett has assisted airlines and airports in the negotiation of use and lease agreements at numerous airports including: Denver International Airport; Los Angeles International Airport; Seattle-Tacoma International Airport; and both the State of Alaska and State of Hawaii Airports Systems.
In each of these negotiations Mr. Burchett played a key role in helping the airlines and the airport reach agreement on business terms. This requires a thorough understanding of rates and charges methodologies, financial planning, financial modeling and analysis, capital budgeting and aviation demand forecasting.
Mr. Burchett is currently providing Airline Liaison Office (ALO) services to Los Angeles International Airport. In this capacity, he is responsible for coordinating financial and strategic issues for the airlines and reviewing annual operating budgets and rates and charges calculations. Responsibilities also include working with airlines and the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to develop a funding plan for future capital improvements as the Master Plan is implemented. Mr. Burchett is assisted the carriers serving Terminals 1 and 3 in use and lease negotiations with LAWA.
Mr. Burchett is currently providing ALO services to Miami International Airport. He is responsible for coordinating financial, strategic and operational issues for the airlines. He coordinates the AvAirPros project team efforts through the ALO. Mr. Burchett reviews annual operating budgets and rates and charges calculations. He works directly with senior airport staff to address issues facing the airport and the airlines in the midst of implementing a capital improvement program in excess of $6 billion.
