Leslie Ott joined the staff of AvAirPros in 2002. She brings over eight years of airline experience to the firm, including airline management, gate coordination and airline equipment operation.Mrs. Ott began her career in the airline industry as a customer service agent for American Trans Air and continued as a manager for Vanguard Airlines.
Mrs. Ott served as a Midway Airlines’ Terminal Consortium Manager throughout the terminal development program. She welcomed the first international flight, which officially transformed Midway into the new Chicago Midway International Airport. She directed the successful opening of the Federal Inspection Service Facility, oversaw the initial punch list and managed the initial procurement of equipment and inventory. As the FIS Facility Manager, Mrs. Ott is responsible for maintaining the operation and appearance of the facility. She serves as the liaison between the Airlines and U.S Custom and Border Protection and assists in the resolution of all daily operational issues.
In April 2003, Mrs. Ott also took on the responsibility for the City Gate Coordination. Mrs. Ott worked with the City of Chicago and Landrum & Brown to develop and institute the Common City and International Gate Procedures. She coordinates aircraft activity between the Airlines, City Operations and Aviation Consultants.
In addition to the above, Mrs. Ott manages the daily operation of the maintenance, dispatching, wheelchair, ticket verification, and custodial contracts of Midway Airlines’ terminal Consortium. She also oversees the inventory and repair of all hold room seating, stanchions and baggage tubs for the entire Airport.
Prior to joining AvAirPros, Mrs. Ott was a Dispatcher for Enron Building Services, where she was responsible for dispatching maintenance, custodial and wheelchair service. She was also responsible for passenger loading, bridge operation training, flight information display training and generating baggage handling reports.
