Experience
Leslie Ott joined the staff of AvAirPros Services, Inc. in 2002 and brings with her 14 years of airline experience. Mrs. Ott currently oversees the Federal Inspection Service Facility (FIS) on behalf of the Midway Airlines’ Terminal Consortium (MATCO) including budgets, inventories, maintenance and custodial services. In this role, Mrs. Ott serves as a liaison between the international carriers and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agencies and assists in the resolution of all daily operational issues. Mrs. Ott oversees staffing plans and scheduling for numerous departments, employee access control, radio communication systems, data management and the inventory and repair of hold room seating, stanchions and baggage tubs for the Consortium. Additionally, Mrs. Ott also assists in the oversight of the maintenance, dispatching, wheelchair, oversize baggage transport, and custodial contracts for the consortium.
In April 2003, Mrs. Ott took on the responsibility of coordinating common gate operations for Midway. Mrs. Ott worked closely with the City of Chicago and Landrum & Brown to develop and institute the Common City and International Gate Procedures for Midway. Mrs. Ott currently coordinates aircraft activity daily between the Airlines, Operations and designated Aviation Consultants for 12 City Gates and the North Ramp Triangle pad at Midway. She maintains usage records for billing and statistical reports and has coordinated the conversion of several preferentially leased gates into City controlled gates.
Mrs. Ott served as a Manager and program coordinator throughout the Midway Airport Terminal Development Program. She welcomed the first international flight, which officially transformed Midway into the new Chicago Midway International Airport. She directed the successful opening of the FIS Facility, oversaw the project punch list and managed the initial procurement of equipment and inventories.
Prior to joining AvAirPros Services, Mrs. Ott had over eight years of airline experience including management, gate coordination and airline equipment operations. Mrs. Ott began her career in the airline industry as a customer service agent for American Trans Air and continued as an operations manager for Vanguard Airlines. Mrs. Ott worked as a Dispatcher for Enron Building Services, where she was responsible for dispatching maintenance, custodial and wheelchair services. She was also responsible for Passenger Loading, Bridge operation training, Flight Information Display training and generating Baggage Handling System reports.
Mrs. Ott is currently pursing a degree in Business Management.
