Matthew J. Ross
Senior Managing Director

Experience

With over fifteen years of experience in aviation development, Mr. Ross leads the firm’s work in the Pacific Northwest. This includes work for a number of airport and airline clients. His experience includes project and construction management, preparation of long term development plans, implementation of airport improvement programs and airport operating agreement negotiations.

Mr. Ross currently is part of the Airline Technical Representative (ATR) at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The ATR coordinates and maintains airline industry involvement in the multi-billion dollar Capital Improvement Program currently underway at SEA. This includes the new third runway, the South Terminal Expansion (fourteen new gates, ticketing and baggage claim expansion), the Central Terminal Expansion and multiple baggage screening projects.

Mr. Ross has worked closely with the Port of Seattle and the airlines on the airport’s Comprehensive Development Plan, a long-term plan for the trigger driven growth of the airport. He also supported the airlines in negotiation of a new seven year lease and operating agreement.

In a similar role, Mr. Ross serves as the ATR for the Alaska International Airport System, which is comprised of Anchorage International Airport and Fairbanks International Airport. In Anchorage, this has included over $400 million of terminal construction for the new Concourse C, a nine gate facility, and the renovation of Concourses A and B. In Fairbanks, he was an integral part of the team that brought a concept for a renovated terminal to the currently under construction six gate facility.

Mr. Ross also leads the firm’s efforts on the Honolulu Modernization Program, a $1.7 billion program that will replace all of the existing concourses at Honolulu International Airport. AvAirPros serves as the Hawaii Airline Liaison Office, coordinating airline involvement on the development program.

Mr. Ross has provided planning and program management and coordination services at Portland, Chicago-Midway, T.F. Green (PVD) and Los Angeles airports. He also provides similar services to domestic airline clients.
