Experience Ms. Sweeney joined the staff of AvAirPros in 1999 and is highly experienced with many aspects of Airport capital improvement programs and project management. She has administered the role of the Airline Liaison Office (ALO) with Airlines and Airports for numerous capital improvement projects (including terminal expansion programs), managed multiple consolidated airline tenant improvement projects along with their operational relocations, and completed VIP lounge projects at numerous airports around the world. At this time, Ms. Sweeney has just completed overseeing the design and construction of a major VIP lounge for (9) international Airlines in conjunction with terminal renovations occurring at Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX. Ms. Sweeney is also managing the ALO with the Port of Oakland and the Airlines serving Oakland International Airport. As of late, the liaison role recently completed service with an aggressive terminal expansion program that consisted of numerous projects including: a new seven gate terminal facility, terminal renovations in an existing terminal facility, runway upgrades, a multi-phased apron paving project and a roadway/curbside expansion project. The role included regular interface with the project teams on behalf of the Airlines and the Airport on each of these projects as they were being implemented and provided assistance with monitoring costs, coordinating construction efforts and minimizing Airline operational impacts during construction. The liaison role is also being represented by Ms. Sweeney for the Airlines and San Francisco International Airport as they embark on a new capital improvement program which includes the rehabilitation of an existing closed terminal facility. Previous assignments with AvAirPros have consisted of multiple Airline consolidated tenant improvement projects and their operational relocations for terminal startups, tenant improvement projects for what was previously called U.S. Customs and oversight of several VIP lounge projects for Japan Airlines and Alitalia. Prior to joining AvAirPros, Ms. Sweeney worked as Manager of Design and Construction for the Corporate Real Estate Department at Continental Airlines. Ms. Sweeney completed milestone projects for the Airline during her tenure there, including overseeing $18 million in capital projects. One of the milestone projects at Continental included the development, presentation, and implementation of a new image prototype for their V.I.P. lounges, a.k.a., Presidents Clubs. Ms. Sweeney gained senior management approval and implemented the prototype system-wide. As a result, accelerated construction and renovations of over twenty-five lounges ensued as part of a heavily marketed product enhancement for the Airline. Another significant project at Continental included the planning development of a new consolidated headquarters facility, which consisted of over 500,000 S.F. and 1,500 employees. This project consolidated existing corporate offices from seven locations into one downtown headquarters facility. Please contact AvAirPros for additional information.
