Mr. Samaroo joined the ranks of AvAirPros Services in March of 2006. His 15 years of experience in the areas of customer service and operations in the airline industry provides him with the essential skills needed in today’s aviation environment.As Manager On Duty for Terminal One Management at JFK International Airport, Mr. Samaroo is responsible for the overall day-to-day monitoring of passenger and flight activity. He also acts as liaison between the air carriers and the various service companies who are under contract with Terminal One to perform those services. The duties of the Manager on Duty also include maintaining a rapport with the Federal and local law enforcement agencies, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Samaroo performed a variety of airline functions for Lufthansa German Airlines and B.W.I.A West Indies Airways. During his tenure at Lufthansa German Airlines, Mr. Samaroo held the position of Senior Operations Agent. His duties included the supervision and coordination of all ramp operation activities on all passenger aircraft as pre-calculation of weights and aircraft limitations, planning of baggage and cargo load distribution, special loads and dangerous goods positioning. His responsibilities included assurance that aircraft handling by the service companies were performed according to regulations, by supervising the proper loading procedures of dangerous goods, cargo, and baggage. Also, he was in charge of supervising the aircraft de-icing/ anti-icing procedures.
Mr. Samaroo’s vast flight operations experience is not his only talent. His knowledge of passenger service is extensive. He performed assignments of check-in, arrival control, departure supervision and several other customer service functions.
Mr. Samaroo performed similar functions with B.W.I.A West Indies Airways while in Piarco International Airport, in his homeland of Trinidad and Tobago.
Mr. Samaroo’s experience in these areas has provided him with the necessary skills to comprehend and deal with the utmost requirements of the international carriers at Terminal One.
