Mr. Aoki joined AvAirPros in 1998. He is currently responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Hawaii Airline Liaison Office and also provides administrative and fiscal assistance to the Airlines Committee of Hawaii.Mr. Aoki’s aviation experience is in the financial services area, including airport financial analyses, airline rates and charges analyses, and providing technical expertise in real property and accounting issues.
Mr. Aoki assists the Airlines Committee of Hawaii and the State of Hawaii by providing airline industry representation and facilitation expertise to address the myriad of issues that may arise throughout the 15-airport system. As a facilitator, Mr. Aoki often is responsible for coordinating and reconciling the diverse interests of airlines and the State of Hawaii, with the objective of developing a solution that is supported by both parties. Mr. Aoki also utilizes his experience in the finance and real estate areas to assist the airlines in resolving fiscal, leasing and property matters. Most recently, Mr. Aoki assisted the State of Hawaii in developing a plan of finance and airline rates and charges methodology to support a $2.3 billion airports modernization program.
