Experience Mr. Leonard is a key member of the AvAirPros’ baggage handling systems team, bringing over fifteen years of experience in planning and designing baggage systems. Mr. Leonard provides clients with a thorough understanding of all the issues related to planning, design and implementation baggage handling systems. Since the Transportation Security Act, Mr. Leonard has been closely involved in the planning and design of new baggage screening systems and the modification of existing systems to meet the new requirements. He also has extensive experience and skills in developing complex phasing plans required for the implementation of systems in active operations. Mr. Leonard is currently part of the Airline Technical Representative office in Seattle, coordinating airline involvement and representing the airlines’ interests during the implementation of two new baggage screening systems. Mr. Leonard also is part of the Hawaiian Airline Liaison Office, coordinating airline involvement in ticket lobby remodel and baggage screening projects in Honolulu, Kahului and Lihue. Prior to joining AvAirPros, Mr. Leonard was a project manager and a key member of a leading aviation engineering and design firm for thirteen years. His work included multiple baggage projects at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, including both permanent and interim systems. He also designed the new inbound and outbound baggage systems for the new terminal expansion at Fairbanks International Airport and managed the design of the baggage systems required to support Alaska Airlines’ new lobby check-in layout in Seattle and Fairbanks.
