Salvatore Debono joined AvAirPros in 2006 and serves as Regional Managing Director with responsibility for building and facility related projects for the New York area airports. Mr. Debono’s responsibilities include client coordination and program management services.

Mr. Debono is currently providing program management services for Terminal One Group Association (TOGA) on a $40M building renovation program in preparation for the Airbus A380 aircraft. This major project at JFK International Terminal One includes taxilane/apron work, hydrant fueling, aircraft systems, and terminal renovations and expansions.

In addition to the TOGA A380 project, Mr. Debono is providing project management services for the new EDS In-Line baggage handling system project at Terminal One.

Mr. Debono is also providing facilities coordination services for multiple Delta Air Lines concessions renovation projects at JFK and LaGuardia airports in New York.

Prior to joining AvAirPros, Mr. Debono was a Senior Project Manager responsible for participating in and managing Carter Burgess’ staff of engineers, who were performing oversight functions for most of the Manhattan Transportation Authority’s capital improvement projects for all transit stations, line structures, shops and yards, bus depots, etc., for the LIRR, NYCT, and Metro North agencies. Duties included monitoring and reporting on progress, quality, schedule, safety, budgets, and all aspects of design and construction.

Mr. Debono brings over thirty years experience in executing and managing large and small projects throughout the USA, from the conceptual development of a project through to the completion of construction, often managing the daily activities of the construction managers. Mr. Debono’s responsibilities have included cost control, quality control, schedule development, schedule maintenance, implementation of safety programs, safety management, technical execution, and client satisfaction. He is a valued member of any significant capital development program.
