Experience Mr. Debono joined AvAirPros as a Senior Managing Director, responsible for all aviation projects in the metro New York area. Mr. Debono’s responsibilities include client interface and coordination, and responsibility for client satisfaction. Mr. Debono has hands on responsibility for managing all client objectives, including the execution of capital improvement, renovation and maintenance projects undertaken by the firm. Currently, Mr. Debono is actively engaged in managing several programs at JFK & LGA airports, including: the Airbus A380 Program at Terminal One, JFK (new construction & renovations, landside & airside, to accommodate the new A 380 aircraft); Delta’s Concessions Build-Out programs at Terminals 2 & 3 at JFK and Delta’s Terminal at LGA; Terminal One’s new BHS/EDS Program at JFK; and Lufthansa’s First Class Lounge project at JFK. Mr. Debono has extensive aviation experience, dating back to the mid-1980’s, working as a Senior Project Manager on the Port Authority’s JFK Redevelopment program, then valued at $ 2.5 billion dollars. Other experience includes several projects at JFK International Airport, Boston’s Logan Airport, Albany Airport and Newark Airport’s Global Gateway project for Continental Airlines. As a Senior Program/Project Manager with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Mr. Debono was responsible for overseeing major portions of a $22 billion dollar design and construction improvement program throughout the New York metropolitan area. This included managing the efforts of other engineers and architects assigned to him, and preparing/presenting reports on the capital program to the MTA Board. Mr. Debono has over thirty years experience executing and managing large and small projects, beginning with the conceptual development of a project and following through to construction completion. Often managing the daily activities of a staff of construction managers, Mr. Debono’s responsibilities included cost and quality control, schedule development and maintenance, implementation and management of safety programs, technical execution and client satisfaction.
