Scott Feldmann
Senior Director

Experience

Mr. Feldmann joined AvAirPros in March 2005 and is assigned to the Atlanta, GA. office. He has over 33 years of technical project and program management experience in aviation planning (terminal/airfield/support facilities) and master planning, program development and implementation, architectural design, construction management, and environmental engineering projects at airports throughout the United States. Mr. Feldmann’s current role, as Program Director for the ATL BHS Expansion Program, responsibilities include overall management of the A/E and BHS design teams and multiple phased construction projects in support of the BHS conveyor installation and its support facilities for this $90M plus fast-tracked program.

Prior to his current assignment Mr. Feldmann’s recent experience includes:

System Wide Facilities “Right-Sizing” Program Development and Implementation, Major U.S. International Airline: Mr. Feldmann developed a “Zero-Based” Airport Facility Model that was used as the measure for “right-sizing” the airlines’ space requirements at over 70 of its largest stations. Each station was modeled using the program, space reduction options were developed and analyzed, and leases were renegotiated with the airport authority. Implementation plans were then developed and the spaces reconfigured resulting in savings of over $130M annually.

Alaska Airlines “Zero-Based” Airport Facility Model: Mr. Feldmann developed the Airport Facilities Model used to “right-size” Alaska Airline’s leased spaces at ANC.

Passenger Terminal Modernization Study, Honolulu International Airport (HNL): Mr. Feldmann was responsible for the development of designs and phasing plans for the Honolulu International Airport (HNL), Passenger Terminal Complex Modernization Study, which AvAirPros prepared for the State of Hawaii and the Airlines serving HNL. This study included development of concepts for the phased redevelopment of airside concourse facilities, and enables the DOT-A and Airlines to address multiple issues (e.g., relocation of Taxilanes G and L, relocation of fuel storage facilities, replacement of the intra-terminal transportation system, and replacement of aging airport infrastructure, etc., in a capital and operationally cost effective manner), that have long plagued HNL and are both difficult, as well as costly, to address in the context of the existing Master Plan.

Signatory Airlines Representative (SAR) - Indianapolis International Airport (IND): Mr. Feldmann served as the Signatory Airlines Representative for the design and construction of the New Indianapolis International Airport Midfield Terminal. He provided design and planning review and input to the IAA and their Project Team on behalf of the Airlines, monitored schedule and budget, and completed specific studies that have lead to a direct savings to the Airlines’ of over $5.5M in initial capital costs, and over $16M in project costs

Before joining AvAirPros, Mr. Feldmann was the President, CEO, and Aviation Programs Director of Hygienetics Environmental Services, Inc. Prior to Hygienetics, Mr. Feldmann was the Manager of Facilities Design and Construction for United Airlines, Chicago, IL and Manager of Facilities for Republic Airlines, Minneapolis, MN.
