Experience Mr. Rowland joined the staff of AvAirPros in 2002, and has over seven years of experience in airport baggage handling system design, construction, and maintenance. Mr. Rowland’s baggage handling experience includes superintendent management of system installations in Chicago, Newark, Orlando, St Louis, and Puerto Rico, and he designed the concept for Midway International Airport’s future in-line explosion detection baggage handling system. Mr. Rowland’s maintenance experience includes maintenance and operation management for the Midway Airlines Terminal Consortium in Chicago Illinois. Mr. Rowland is currently responsible for maintenance, contracts, operations, and general day-to-day interactions of the baggage handling system, passenger loading bridges, potable water equipment, ground power equipment, triturator equipment, flight information display equipment, electric tug charging equipment, pre-conditioned air equipment, international terminal facility management, passenger wheelchair service, ticket verification service, city gate management, and other miscellaneous equipment for the Midway Airlines Terminal Consortium. Mr. Rowland played a vital role in the Midway Airport Terminal Development Program and oversaw several system commissionings. He continuously develops and maintains preventative maintenance programs and inventory procedures. He deals with the City of Chicago, all of Midway’s airlines, and various union groups, vendors, and contractors. Mr. Rowland also oversees the 24/7 Dispatcher Call Center and manages a maintenance staff of 17. Prior to joining AvAirPros, Mr. Rowland served as a Maintenance and Operations Supervisor for Enron Building Services at Midway International Airport, where he was responsible for the entire domestic and international baggage handling system. Mr. Rowland wrote and implemented Midway’s current preventative maintenance program and established inventory control procedures saving the Terminal Consortium $350,000+ annually. Mr. Rowland started his aviation career as a Field Superintendent for G&T Conveyor Company Inc., where he was responsible for the installation of baggage handling conveyor systems in several major airports worldwide.
