AvAirPros was retained in December 1999 on behalf of Southwest Airlines to assist the Maryland Aviation Administration in the Pier B Renovation and Expansion Project at Baltimore / Washington International Airport. The multi-phased expansion and renovation program included multi-airline relocations, renovations to existing facilities, and the expansion of Pier B to 10-gates. The expansion program provided Southwest Airlines the needed gate capacity for the near term.

In its role, AvAirPros provided project management assistance including the coordination with and between Southwest Airlines, the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA), other airlines, and other tenants. AvAirPros also monitored the concourse expansion to address concerns regarding quality of construction, schedule, budget, and achievement of Southwest Airlines requirements. AvAirPros also performed detailed technical review of construction documents; actively participated in the resolution of issues to facilitate the implementation of the program; and provided assistance to Southwest Airlines upon their relocation into the new facilities.
The results of AvAirPros activities were to facilitate and expedite the relocation of Southwest Airlines into newly renovated, fully operational, and expanded terminal facilities at BWI.
