AvAirPros' primary role at Philadelphia International Airport is as consultant, spokesperson, negotiator, and facilitator for the International Airlines to provide those carriers with an active, unified voice in PHL airport affairs. In 2005 AvAirPros was retained by the scheduled airlines serving PHL to assist with the negotiations for a new use and lease agreement to replace the current 32 year agreement that expires June 30, 2006.

AvAirPros assisted the Philadelphia International Airlines in their participation in the recently completed Terminal A West, an 801,000 square feet, $550 million addition to what is now known as Terminal A East. AvAirPros represented the International Airlines in defining and finalizing the airlines’ facility and operational requirements during the design phase of Terminals A. AvAirPros interfaced between the International Airlines, the City, and the project manager during the construction and startup phases of the terminal. AvAirPros’ technical assignment during the expansion of the International Terminal was to provide input into the design integrity of the new facility and ensure that the requirements of the International Airlines were full addressed.

AvAirPros has also represented the Philadelphia International Airlines in negotiating a Memorandum of Understanding and subsequent amendments for the rates and charges methodology associated with International Terminal usage. AvAirPros’ ongoing role at Philadelphia is to monitor, manage, and promote the interests of the International Airlines in airport affairs. AvAirPros chairs the monthly Terminals A meeting, audits annual financial statements, prepares forecasts, assists with and makes recommendations on financial matters, participates in design and technical committees, sits on the CUTE users committee and participates in other forums as required by the City and or airlines.
